About Ummayah Sidhu
BACP Accredited Psychotherapist | Heritage & Identity Specialist
As a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist, my practice is shaped by a life lived across cultures. I am a British-born woman of Indian heritage and a Muslim revert a background that allows me to bridge Western clinical rigor with a deep, lived understanding of Eastern and Middle Eastern cultural dynamics.
Between 2008 and 2015, I lived and worked in Qatar within a diverse international community. This experience provided first-hand insight into the emotional weight of global transitions and the delicate balance of staying true to one’s values while navigating different worldviews.
Today, I work with people from all walk of life, high-pressure professionals, expats, and individuals from mixed-heritage backgrounds, providing a spiritually sensitive space that respects the ‘whole story’ of who you are.
My Therapeutic Approach
I do not believe in a “one size fits all” model. Instead, I work Integratively, drawing on several key perspectives to meet your unique needs:
Relational & Cultural: We explore how your heritage, faith, and family dynamics shape how you relate to yourself and others today.
The Whole Story: I offer a spiritually sensitive space that honors your faith and the search for deeper meaning, especially for those navigating multiple cultural worldviews.
Gestalt & Relational: We focus on the “here-and-now,” identifying painful patterns from the past to help you move toward your full potential.
By combining clinical rigor with self-compassion and mindfulness, we work together to quiet the inner critic and heal painful patterns from the past. It is my honor to help you move past what is blocking you from reaching your full potential.
